Curbing Cabin Fever
A downloadable guide
Originally released March 2020. I had no idea what was coming.
I spent 3 months of 2018 in the same bed. It was not a fun time. But I did learn and develop some strategies to cope with boredom, isolation, and confinement. If you’re facing self-quarantine and are anxious about what will happen to your mental health if you're stuck in a small space with little in-person social interaction for weeks, these strategies may help. This pamphlet was written in response to concerns about self-quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, but should be useful for any situation in which you're going to be house- or bedbound for a finite period of time.
There is discussion of COVID-19, mental illness, self harm, and substance abuse in this 10-page PDF. It should be screen-reader accessible -- please contact me if you find that it is not.
I made this document free because I think everyone should have access to this information if they want it. Please feel free to distribute the PDF beyond Itch. That said: I'm a freelance photographer and my income is going to plummet significantly over the coming months. So, I'd appreciate a tip if you can afford it, but no sweat if you can't or don't want to.
